BULLDOGS HOLD TOP SPOT IN LATEST COACHES POLL
Georgia, South Carolina, Auburn Still Top-3 in Latest Coaches Poll. Oklahoma State moves in to fourth-place tie with Texas A&M
Georgia, South Carolina, and Auburn maintained their top-three spots in the latest coaches poll, as Oklahoma State becomes the first non-SEC school to top the crack-four this season, it was announced today.
The top-ranked Bulldogs are 2-0 and coming off a 14-10 win at Baylor last week. The second-ranked Gamecocks are also 2-0 after defeating Auburn on Oct. 4 at home. And the third-ranked Tigers improved to 2-1 on Saturday as Auburn edged Texas A&M, 11-9, at home.
The Aggies (1-2) are tied at No. 4 with Oklahoma State (2-2), as the Cowgirls have won two meets in a row.
Kansas State moves up one spot to No. 6, as the Wildcats have a 4-1 record this season.
Baylor slides down two spots down to No. 7 as the Bears (3-3) have lost their last three meets.
TCU holds steady at No. 8, as the Horned Frogs picked up a Hunt Seat victory over SMU on Oct. 5. New Mexico State maintains its position a No. 9, as the Aggies are 3-3 and coming off a win over West Texas A&M.
SMU remains tenth in the latest poll. The Mustangs are 3-1 in Hunt Seat action this year and will travel to face Texas A&M on Oct. 26.
The collegiate coaches competing under the National Collegiate Equestrian Association umbrella initiated the national poll. The next poll will be released on October 31.
