Inaugural Varsity Equestrian Coaches' Poll

The inaugural Varsity Equestrian Coaches’ Poll was released yesterday, September 30, 2008. The collegiate coaches competing under the Varsity Equestrian Championship umbrella initiated the bi-monthly national poll.

Georgia scored 63 points in the balloting of a panel of head coaches and Equine experts. The Dawgs are two points better than No. 2 Auburn, which had 61. South Carolina is in third place in the poll with 56 points, followed by Texas A&M (45) and Oklahoma State (40).

The second five of the Top 10 poll begins with Baylor in sixth place with 31 points followed by Kansas State (29), Fresno State (15), TCU (14) and New Mexico State (13).
