Georgia Remains No. 1 In Equestrian Coaches' Poll
FRESNO, Calif. -- The Georgia Bulldogs just keep on rolling, having won nine straight matches and remain the top-ranked team in the National Equestrian Coaches Poll.
The Bulldogs are coming off impressive wins over No. 5 South Carolina and No. 7 Baylor.
That sets up a showdown of the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in the nation this weekend when Georgia travels to Auburn, March 6. Auburn has a solid lead over No. 3 Texas A&M in the rankings.
For the fi rst time in the two-year history of the poll there were no changes among the top 10 programs.
The collegiate coaches competing under the Varsity Equestrian Championship umbrella initiated the national poll at the beginning of the 2008-09 season.
